I doubt it. He was pretty soundly rejected by the GOP last time. His appeal was to the Neo-cons and they’re been pretty much purged out of the Republican party in favor of the social conservatives and libertarians. The party is leaning libertarian for now so candidates like Bachmann, Palin and even Ron Paul have more appeal to conservatives than Rudy.

I think Rudy would get trounced if he decided to run.

Lot of dirt on Rudy. It’s no secret, anyone can find it— but the left was holding back on it being widely publicised, waiting for him to win a nomination.

Anyway I agree with you— Rudy has a lot of disadvantages as a candidate right now.
