Some random Freeper posted that Trump’s mother’s maiden name was MacLeod which he had heard meant “stand firm” and that The Donald does just that. Unless I am sadly mistaken MacLeod translates loosely to “son of the ugly guy.” Not quite the same.

It’s definitely not stand firm since Mac is always son of. It’s simply son of Leod which is probably an old Scots-Gaelic given name.
