Why is that the West Virginia Democratic party is unable to elect any other state wide Democrat besides Manchin? And that there is no other Democrat that seems able to compete statewide.

Is it that West Virginians are so completely different than the rest of the nation that they are biologically unable to become Democrats? Is there something in the water?

Or… and just bear with me here… might Manchin have something to do with this?

Donald Trump beat Joe Biden by nearly 40 points in WV. There is no secret why other dems don’t win in the state. A dem who is conservative enough to win there may as well just switch parties.
