re: #40 William Barnett-Lewis

We’ve discussed this at length here in recent weeks but it boils down to this:

A car is a privilege. You do not have a right to own one or to drive one.

A gun is a right. Unless you are a criminal or insane, the government is not allowed to prevent you from having one.

A well organized and regulated militia is a right. For many years that was understood as the state national guard. Time to go back to the common sense interpretation of the Second Amendment.
