So this country of ours can endure Civil War, Depression, institutionalized racism, etc but we can’t handle a second term of Obama? Really for a bunch of people who claim they loved Reagan for his optimism. These people are downright cynical on their nation and that attitude reflects in the kind of people they nominate for office. Your Todd Akins, Richard Mourdocks, Mitt Romneys, etc aren’t optimists.

I think a large part of it is the demographic shift and certain groups realizing they just don’t hold the power they used to. It drives them nuts.
