Laura Bush would have climbed Mr. Bush like a tree if he had said something like that.

Bush had too much respect for other people than to say something like that. Interwoven into Obama’s bad attempt at self-depreciating humor is an arrogance that requires him to put down others.

I heard him say last night that he is trying to change the past practice of blaming others. All he has done since he got elected is blame Bush.

By the way, the 90% tax is going to really make it difficult for large banks to be profitable. Their “rain maker” employees will leave and go to work for other banks not likely to be subject to the tax. Thus these struggling banks will be further crippled and their competition strenghtened.

I bet head hunters are burning up the phones right now at any bank that even looks like it might have some TARP money coming. I worked at a place once where something similar happened. The head hunters got a hold of a bank phone book and just started working their way through it. The place was stripped of all talent (including me) and folded.
