McCain was fatally flawed from day one. If there ever was a RINO, McCain is it. Reaching across the aisle always meant capitulation. Bush, despite what the media said, is also quite centrist in all things beyond the military. Toward the end, he looked like a beaten down centrist. I also think (well, someone told me) that his advisers where of the “let’s reach out to include more in our party” type - Dem Lites. That worked, huh?
