Men you guys got me all confused. I came here from Soviet Russia, where it was all about phantom equality and only party leaders and thiefs had any substantial wealth, that’s why I immigrated and never looked back. Sure it’s much harder to make a living here in the States, and one needs to work his/her ass off, but one reaps fruits of his/her labor, right? If someone’s smarter, or maybe even cannier I only applaud their success, what you’re saying sounds like jealousy.
Also might I add, if we middle class people weren’t “jealous” of the rich and didn’t want what they had, then the entire capitalistic system falls apart.
It’s a system driven by mankinds desire for more and better.
How can “class envy” or “class jealousy” be a bad thing in a system that is all about working harder to get what you want?
