Kinda splitting hairs there. Is there really that big a difference between targets and crosshairs? Both imply the same thing. Think the Democratic Leadership Committee or the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee took down their similar maps? It’s irresponsible regardless whom put up such maps.

I’ve argued against attempts by the right to paint folks who were obviously deranged as ‘leftists’ when they’ve committed violent acts, and here we have what is pretty obviously the reverse. This guy was nuts. . and his friends and neighbors have provided ample evidence (albeit mostly anecdotal at this point) to make that clear. Trying to associate him with one political party or the other is an attempt to marginalize one group of voters or another, on the basis of the actions of a madman.
