Customs is now confirming they searched the IDs of everyone deplaining from a domestic Delta flight.

They said they had a deportation order for a person, but no name. They also claimed that such searches were “normal.”

This is why I’m glad I don’t fly very regularly. At the same time…like I said, I feel like I might need to carry by Birth Certificate around on me if I travel now (fat lot of good it’ll do if someone is really intent on disbelieving me, but every little bit).
