Anyone notice the word “confederation” used by one commenter in the story?

Those ballots were pretty meaningless if people thought they were voting “yes” for one of several outcomes, including outright secession from Ukraine with independent rule, to continue being a part of Ukraine with self-rule, or becoming independent with a future view to being absorbed by Russia.

But no one seemed to actually know for sure what the “yes” vote meant.
