Watching the World Cup today. It’s cute how the American sports media is trying to pretend that the US team will be a contender when they’re in the same group as Germany and Portugal. ROFL.

There’s even a whole half-hour TV special about the team between matches today. I am amused.

Well it is all a matter of trying to generate TV ratings which is good for each and every fan of the sport in this country, regardless of how you feel about Team USA.

Of course, there are those in the media who don’t know/care about the sport blasting coach Jrgen Klinsmann for daring to concede the US is not ready to contend…see:
