I suppose, but in the series as a whole the music wasn’t exactly of that style, so it stood out to me. On the whole I think the music for the series was not that impressive, but small screen productions rarely have great scores.

I agree. It was a real surprise. Maybe the intent was to heighten the drama and suggest a triumph, but with almost a half hour left to the episode it was easy to guess it would not be a total victory.
