Most of them have only a dim understanding of the word “fungible.” They just know it’s bad somehow.

Sarah Palin said “fungible” in an interview when she was running for VP.
She didn’t know what it meant but that didn’t matter because her fan club didn’t know either. It just sounded smart because there was more than one syllable.
