You are picking up the nit picking bug.

Like I already said, why should they stay to get beaten up? Not responding to the taunts only robs the bullies from downdinging him. It does not take away from the importance of the story.

No one seemed to mind when Locker ( I AM BREITBART!) did the same thing.
