Beethoven: The Symphonies
All nine symphonies performed on original period instruments. Not what most people are used to hearing. The strings are mushier and the brass is crunchier. Tempos and dynamics are a lot different than most modern interpretations.

If you haven’t seen it, check out the BBC movie “Eroica.” It’s Beethoven’s 3rd done on period instruments with a dramatization of its first performance. I loved it so much I’ve bought 5 or 6 copies of the DVD as gifts.
