yeah well, i know dudes who say the same thing Kos said and worse, who are over there, I’m not exactly broken up over mercenaries being killed. They took a giant risk for a giant payday. They acceped the neurosurgeon money. They got paid that money because they WERE going to see death there. Maybe their own, maybe not.

Like albusteve said. berzerkers. Vikings. I also ain’t broken up when some guy dies climbing everest, or racing NASCAR, or sailing alone around the world, or jumping 20 school buses on a dirtbike.

What’s the difference between those guys and any other mercenary? Is it just because of Iraq, and the fact that that comment came from the Then-Hated-Enemy-Of-LGF, Markos Moulitsas? How much of that was blog rivalry? I wasn’t here for that stuff. I wasn’t reading Kos either, because Kos was boring as hell, whiny as hell. I was running my own blog. I considered 9/11’s aftermath to be intolerable in terms of blogging. Nobody was making sense to me. I made my own blog because I was disgusted by the whole field, and so were my friends. We dealt with it through our own perspectives, not this blog v blog crap. I remember taking one look at the comments on LGF in the thick of the Iraq war, and that was more than enough for me. Psychotic.

I found LGF because my partner discovered all the Vlamms Belang stuff Charles was writing about, which he was already interested in. Funnily enough, he turned me on to LGF, but he doesn’t have an account.

Does he game? We can hook him up with my husband. The LGF Widowers Association. They can have lunches with the Everquest Widows and Orphans.
