what creeps me out is I honestly have no idea how many people in America believe in magical prophecy that requires some insane video-game-esque set of criteria to be fulfilled before (take your pick) God comes back, Jesus comes back, God smites our enemies, we go to heaven, they go to hell, we get some good stuff, etc. I think it’s a LOT, but I really have no idea how high the percentage is

Sort of a chilling thought, isn’t it?

And what I find interesting is… when this subject comes up, especially on the left… the finger is pointed at the right… which is odd, since there are hundred and hundred thousand religious people on the left who believe in these very same prophetic material.

Granted, for certain religionist on the right, it plays into a world view that does wrap politics and country into their cosmology…

But when you make fun of it, in general, you are mocking the beliefs of people on both sides.

I don’t understand that.
