“Keep banging your head against the wall” may be a plan, but it’s not a very good one. There’s entire industries in Vegas devoted to emptying the pockets of suckers who think that the next pull at the slot machine will be the jackpot. This plan isn’t going to do much over the short term besides make a bunch of advertising companies very rich.

AL, MS, AR, TN, KY, TX, OK, NE, KS, ND, SD, ID, WY, MT, keep counting unchallenged electoral votes.

One party competes for all of them, and their house districts. (I see Rep. Car Thief was reëlected in California. Oh, that’s right, he represents a primarily conservative area of California, so it doesn’t matter to the Dems.) Well, it did matter to the Dems because they ran Doug Applegate against him. He didn’t win, but the message is out there that Issa can no longer assume he is in a safe seat.

In the meantime, that list of safe seats and electoral votes keep growing. When would you like to start a national party? The 2018 election will determine many state legislatures for the 2020 census and redistricting.

Or do the Dems just wanna complain about GOP gerrymandering again? You run candidates, or you don’t win seats. That is how elections work.
