I cannot speak to whether Buck can do that or not. However, the facts remain that Hitler courted left and right wing elements. He defied categorization during his rise to power. His rhetoric was more focus-grouped than anyone ever, including Bill Clinton. On one day, he told farmers he could get them better (higher) prices for their food. The next day, he told the townies he could get them better (lower) prices for their food. He cozied up to big business oligarchs who feared the communists, the he cozied up to trade union big shots who feared the oligarchs, and the communists.

Even his party’s full name had a balance of left and right buzzwords:
The German workers’ Nationalist Socialist party
…(right)…(left)…(right)…(left)

I know “national” rather than “nationalist” is the usual translation, but the way they used the word, “nationalist” is a better fit.

Hitler was militaristic, he was sexist, and he was homophobic.

In what ways was he a leftist?
