So what? You cannot shame the shameless. And this is even more true today than when it was first written:

He’s confident because no one brings consequences: it’s a rational reaction. He cares about money, power, and immunity from prosecution. Threaten those and you have leverage. People need to stop focusing on shame, legacy, or tradition. And they should have learned that years ago!
