This is funny, and yet sad. I knew a little boy from a troubled home who grew up bipolar, and he fought it every inch of the way. He’d take his meds for a while, and be charming and intelligent, but he said they made him feel “not himself, muffled” and he would stop and go wildly into self-destructive behavior. Eventually he could not live like that and killed himself. And as much as I wanted to just be AWAY from him when he was “loose”, and I still regret that little boy. He had such an unhappy life.
