While I agree that trying to avoid WWIII is indeed important, what would you recommend the West does if Putin makes a land grab for a NATO member-state? What if he tries to whip up the ethnic Russians in the Baltic states as a pretext there?

To me, it is. That’s the absolute red-line. At that point, war will become unavoidable.

For me as well. Better World War III than that sort of dishonor.
