TX isn’t in as deep a hole as CA. There’s a reason. TX is more cautious about spending. It works out in the long run. Don’t borrow what you can’t repay. Don’t pay wages you can’t pay. Don’t push taxes to the point they drive business out of the state.

It’s not rocket science.
