The closest I’ve ever come was a discussion that I had with my daughter. It was, “If we ever found out that you had an abortion and did not tell us, we would be very disappointed. We love you too much to want you to go through an unwanted pregnancy without the support of your parents. Also, rather than an abortion; we’d prefer to raise the baby ourselves, but it will be your choice.”
