I do wish there was a deeper Democratic “bench”. I’m not sure who else should run, though. I still like Howard Dean (I know, I know, but hey, in a world where Ben Carson can have no experience and say any number of dumb or outrageous things and still be a somewhat serious candidate…), I like Virginia’s two senators. I wish the Democrats had a Westerner or two they could put up.

But I’m basically OK with Hillary and recognize that after this phony email scandal dies down something else similarly ridiculous will come up after that. It’s gonna be a wacky ride.

Do I want a deeper bench? Certainly. Do I want to see somebody like Warren or Booker running? Sure, I’d love it. But I’m not going to abandon our winning ticket because those elements of the media who aren’t shitting a brick are instead reliving fond memories of Whitewater.
