OWS is working with the NYPD to help deliver aid and keep parts of NYC safe after Sandy.

The NYPD seeks to curb crime and keep New York City safe. They’ll accept help from former enemies to do that. It’s happened many a time for them before, and in this case it is a gladly accepted sign that the differences aren’t fundamental. Occupy Wall Street (the original New York iteration) has a beef with big business but does not have a fundamental quarrel with the NYPD.
