If someone doesn’t agree with the gay lifestyle, but they treat every gay person they meet with dignity and respect does that still make them a bigot?

Not sure about bigot. It makes them a judgemental busybody. It’s saying “I believe I have the authority to hold an opinion on your sex life with consenting adults, and you must respect that opinion.”
