See, my other problem is I’ve read too much Hemmingway and listened to too much Buffett, so the ex-pat life I have envisioned for myself is something like bartending a couple days a week, hitting on American college girls on spring break, and writing a novel that will one day pay the bills.

Yeah I’m guilty of reading The Sun Also Rises as well. My dream was something to the effect of writing at the beach by day and hitting up the bars at night with my wages. I do think I’m one of the only people who has dreamed of being an ex-pat in Ireland though. It’s just one of my favorite countries to visit. I also really liked Portugal.
