Seriously, isn’t paygo a pretty conservative idea? I’m trying to figure out why the republicans would vote against it all the way down the line. I’m still scratching my head over it.

Not really, at least for me, because it doesn’t limit spending, it just says you have to raise taxes to cover new spending. Other than that, spend away!
