Sounds like people who don’t trust their own parenting methods.

That’s basically the long and short of it, and being a new parent, I can kinda understand. The thing is, as was mentioned upthread, it’s kinda difficult to find a way to give this sort of information to parents who want it in order to help, while keeping it away from parents who intend on doing harm.
