The legacy media’s nuzzling Christie’s taint right now because he’s probably their best hope (right now) of finding a Trump-lite: All the bullshit, half the baggage. Their previous Great White Hope was DeathSantis, but the pressure to maintain support from the MAGAt voters in the hopes of winning reelection is forcing him to continue to carry water for Cheetolini. And the rest of the (potential) field vary from “plain white toast” to “Who?”

This by the media is asinine. If Trump is alive, he is the GOP candidate in 2024. If Trump is dead, the GOP candidate will be the GOP pig-person who most thoroughly captures Trump’s magic as True Voice of the Pig-People.

Either way, Christie and those like him stand no chance, no matter how much plotting they do with their media and dark money backers.
