why is this bishop so valuable to the church?….he’s a serious liability imo…why does this nonsense continue?…I dont know how it works…just fire the guy

The Pope is trying to squash a schism over Vatican II. If the Church embraces those that broke away and were subsequently excommunicated, the Church is hoping to exercise some control over them. We will see how effective this is, since it is now center ring in the media circus. Never mind that the circus will now make this an almost impossible endeavor.
