Isn’t that two asses kissing each other :). But yeah, the way Santorum twisted the Kennedy speech story was designed to pander to the Evangelical crowd who are most hostile to the idea of separation of church and state in this country. He totally ignored that Kennedy had to make that speech in the first place because of the prejudices and paranoia that 1960’s Evangelicals had about Catholics and Catholicism. It was a paranoid not unlike the crap you see directed at Muslims today with “creeping Shariah” being replaced with “Roman dictators.”

Yeah, he conveniently forgot his own history of being questioned for being Catholic and turned it right around. It’s amazingly shallow.
