Ryan: ‘I just don’t understand’ what ‘horses and bayonets’ means

A quick note to Ryan: The US doesn’t have any battleships, modern or other wise, in service and haven’t had any at sea for about the last 20 years.

Probably make smoke come out his ears if I told him that a modern Arleigh Burke class destroyer weighs more than a WWII cruiser. Or that they can carry Tomahawk cruise missiles that could hit targets hundreds of miles farther than a salvo from a Tennessee-class battleship of 1917.
