Half way across Lake Erie (but I go around toward Buffalo, easier on the car).

I kind of don’t think of a Great Lake as a border crossing, considering that they don’t run regular boat service (correct me if I’m wrong) and you have to drive to a crossing point, like Detroit or Buffalo.
