It also helps that I personally loathe Newt Gingrich because of things like this that he’s prone to saying:

I suppose it’s possible he could win.

But just think about the way that Obama as president has fired up the tea partiers to vote in the midterms.

Now consider the effect that a Gingrich presidency would have on the gay vote, the black vote, the hispanic vote, the muslim vote, and the non-insane vote. His election seems unlikely.
