You know why progressives don’t like am talk radio? Because progressives don’t like assholes and assholes are always trying to dump their shit on you first thing. Ever have a boss, client or coworker that just ambushes you right away when you walk into work, bombarding you with all the upcoming nonsense of the day before you’ve even put your things away? It’s always stuff that they think is important but really goddamned isn’t and can always wait until everybody has physically and mentally adjusted to the suck of being wherever they are. It’s the same shit that will be reiterated later at the mid morning meeting and almost never matters then either. It’s also almost always the same shit they’ve copied you on three or four emails over the past two weeks and fuck if any of it every really matters. It’s just shit, they know it’s shit and you know it’s shit but they can’t enjoy the sensation of themselves shitting all over you unless you’re there to be shit on. So it keeps happening, if you put up with it. I’ve learned not to.

The kinds of people who do and put up with that kind of fuckfaced assholery like listening to talk radio in the morning. They’re up, immediate eager and instantly ready to either dump their own or be filled with somebody else’s bullshit before they’ve even fully woken up and actually started thinking. My guess is that progressives are less likely to be morning people and less likely to enjoy, or at least ignore being shit on. If you come at me with a stream of words first thing as I walk in the door I’m going to stop you and tell you firmly not to ambush me like that, that early morning are motherfucking sacred and that it’s rude and inconsiderate to just dump on people immediately upon seeing them for the first time in a day. Some people get really offended when I do this, fuck em. But most people take a step back and realize what I’m saying is objectively reasonable and makes for a much better work environment.
