I think Islamophobes like Spencer and Geller, will be more likely to come out and say that this just proves how inherently evil Islam is. I doubt that many of them, will claim that he’s a “secret Muslim.” After all, some famous Islamophobes claim to be ex Muslims. Some anti Muslim bigot will probably also say that this is an argument for banning Islam. Most likely they won’t even try to explain how its not hypocritical to ban a religion, in the name of religious freedom. They’ll also ignore the fact that not all Muslims support punishing people for rejecting the faith. In addition, they’ll ignore or even defend people like Bryan Fischer, who would turn America into a Christian Taliban if they were able to.
