It’s not about telling Muslim students when to pray, though, it’s about having the right to freely express your religion in an atmosphere of diversity. Particularly egregious for a university like Duke that constantly brags about its multiculturalism.
I see the reasoning, and I fully understand it.
Still think it’s rather asinine to even suggest such a thing given the tense Islamophobic sentiment going on right now. This could have spurred a Baruch Goldstein-wannabe to gun down worshipers at the university.
