You have to ask yourself why you believe the conservatives care about you. Is it some end times crazy shit, the fact they prefer Jews to Arabs (like preferring to die by gunshot as opposed to burning to death), if it’s to cover for their innate bigotry, or if it’s out of an honest sense of loving others as your brothers and sisters?

I have met many conservatives that say nothing but anti-Semitic stuff when around other Christians, or who they believe are Christians, kind of like they can’t wait to tell a good ni**er joke in “white” company. I know several end times flavor fundies that can’t let go of the idea “the Jews killed Christ,” but only tolerate Jews in close quarters because they think it makes them seem like benevolent Christians or Catholics to perpetually “forgive” the Jews. Then, I know another flavor of conservatives that admire Jews because “they’re good with money.”

All true. All sickening. All bullshit.

I like my Jewish friends as people first, and Jews second… or third… or last. Fact is, I don’t give a shit they’re Jewish any more than I give a shit if they’re gay or brown or Asian. But I will say, my Jewish friends - who may be anomalies - never knock on my door to convert me, condemn me, rag on me for not attending Cowboy Fucking Church or any church, and are some of the most intelligent, generous, funny, nice people I know. I joke if I were to suddenly find religion - and I won’t - I’d probably convert to Judaism.

But I’m not religious. And I’m not a conservative. You don’t have to question my motives. I’d like you because I’d like you, and you’d happen to be Jewish.
