In regards to the Bible supposedly criticizing modern science I would like to point out many Christians consider the Bible a “living document”.

That is to say the believe God is all knowing. He can see what has been, what is and what will be. Therefore when He gave man his divine message in the form of the Bible, it was meant to be a message that addressed not only what had passed but what was to come.

A majority of Evangelical Christians believe in prophecy. They believe the Bible contains messages referring to many events that have yet to occur. The belief that the Book of Revelation is about a future doomsday is a good example of that. They also believe certain people, both past and present, have the ability to receive prophetic messages from God.

I am a Christian myself but I seem to be in the minority as I believe science is not an enemy of my faith or beliefs. I should also note I don’t share all of the beliefs mentioned above.
