So I’m watching the first season of “West Wing” on Amazon Prime and I’m not really sure if I like it,and I’m at episode 21. I was a staunch conservative at the time it aired and for a long time afterwards.

I was so conservative in fact that in my last tour of duty as a navy man I let my CPO talk me into reading “The Bell Curve”. And I’m african-american. I’m kinda ashamed to admit it now but he was pretty influential in my life and like many at the time,he suffered from Clinton-Derangement Syndrome. He could go on a 20 minute rant about Clinton without stopping to catch his breath once. I loved the guy.
