As I’ve said before, the Romney ticket is the last gasp of the old business Republican establishment. The true believer nuts will take over completely after the debacle in November. Their explanation will not be that their candidate is a waffling non-entity whose feeble ideas are likely to change by tomorrow, it will be that he wasn’t pure enough in his devotion to the tea party/religious right worldview.
