The sadder reality is that the likely result is that for the next week or so, there will be constant repetition from FOX and every Republican personality interviewed on every channel about the ‘evidence’ and ‘questions’ surrounding the WaPo and their reporting. CNN and every media source will devote hours of programming to discussing the ‘allegations’. Guest after guest will be brought on to ‘discuss’ the evidence, which will consist only of repeating the same lie loudly. Trump will tweet about it, and that will spark another couple of days of ‘discussion’ about it. Senators and Representatives will be asked about it and say that their constituents are ‘concerned’ about this ‘evidence’.

In the meantime, the Senate will pass a tax bill affecting every American and Republicans will elect a pedophile to the Senate. This will be afforded minutes of coverage at most, while the American mass media talks about lies as if they might be true for hours.

I’m not sure O’Keefe has that sort of influence anymore, too many “stings” that have ended up being busts has killed his utility to wingnuts above the echo chamber crowd. Even Drudge already has his front page declaring this “sting” a wash and Breitbart’s not reporting on it at all.
