Work with them for a couple of years, you learn a lot…there’s a lot of science. Grafting queens was my favorite part of the job. Scraping supers (empty hives) was the least favorite. Honey production was back-breaking work, but the boss always had a half-gallon of Black Velvet (and 7-up for the guys who didn’t drink BV/water)waiting for us at the end of the day. Those were some drunk times.
