re: #496 Targetpractice

As for the “scandal,” the reactions to it seem to have already been baked in. The media sees it as a major coup, the GOP are trying to portray it as “more of the same,” and her critics on the Left are using it to reinforce their belief that she should step aside so some unicorn candidate can step forward and unite the party.

The bolded is the one that drive me up the fucking wall. I see it a lot over at PZ Myers’ blog, Pharyngula about Obama. At times, they hate him more than they hate the GOP because he’s not on TV every night, pissing on a Bible and gay marrying every thing in sight.

I mean, I do agree with the criticism that on certain issues, a more aggressive Obama would be my preference. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is a prime example:

“All right, you primitive screwheads, I’m Commander in Chief. This bullshit stops now!”

*mic drop*

Obama is a center right politician. I would prefer someone who legalizes pot and says “Fuck off, single payer or expended Medicare or GTFO” right out of the gate. But that ain’t gonna happen in a country where much of the population thinks poor people get what they deserve, or that Jesus wrote the Constitution of Independence.

This childish idiocy that a far left candidate will win over the entire Democratic party, let alone our country’s supply of precious “independents” (whose wisdom can never be questioned and will deliver us from evil), is fucking idiotic.
