Anyone who works in large organizations knows how this sort of thing can happen. The POTUS is vicariously responsible—but it is not likely that he had foreknowledge of this particular event.

When he fires someone for this and publicly rebukes the decisions made, I will let him off the hook. If this gets swept under the rug, my disdain for him and his entire Administration will increase ten fold.
