To be fair, Clinton played a role in it, to call it exclusively his is not really true, now is it? The Republican Class of 94, the dreaded and much feared Contract With America, provided Clinton with most of the things he now points to as his successes. He had to sign on to it, the polls he watched so closely told him too. It is ironic that the battle between those two groups - Clinton and his nemesis, the Republican congress actually did work together on some major issues…yet both still tried to literally destroy one another.

That’s true. In fact, I think the Welfare Reform Act is a good example of both sides working together for a common goal.

We did well under Clinton in many ways. The Right doesn’t like to say so, but it’s true.
