You do know the story on that “billion” dollar hit do you not ? Corporations will no longer be able to write off tax payer money that subsidizes part of the Medicare payments as a cost. They were double dipping, and the bill corrects that. BTW, the billion dollar write off is a one quarter accounting trick for losing the tax write off that won’t even start until 2011 and is less than a penny a share for AT&T.
Saying it will raise the employment rate to 30% is beyond silly.
